    By 3VR Team   |   Thursday Oct 31, 2013

It's the great 3VR pumpkin! SVP of Engineering Masa Karahashi showed off his pumpkin-carving skills this weekend and we think the results are great! It's especially fitting as we love our orange at 3VR.

We hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!

If you are conducting a video investigation, Case Management makes it easier to store multiple pieces of associated video evidence, notes, and supporting documents in a case and easily share the case file. 3VR’s VisionPoint VMS video management software includes a built-in case management function, which allows you to manage evidence within a centralized interface. Inventing the Surveillance Society

We are still about 10 weeks away from the end of the year, but I am willing to bet that leaking of documents by Edward Snowden will make it to one of the top news stories of 2013. Much of what has been reported since then has been around the enormity of the NSA program. The debate in the media, rightfully so, is on the ethics and legality of the program. It highlights the balance that needs to be struck between privacy and power, security and freedom, and protection and growth. What’s seldom discussed are the rapid advances in technology that makes modern surveillance so different from yesteryear.

    Trish Chan's picture
By Trish Chan   |   Thursday Oct 17, 2013

In the first instalment of this 4-part series, we discussed how integrators can rise above the many technology and project challenges in an ever-changing security industry. A key recommendation we made was that integrators should offer scalable, feature-rich video surveillance solutions that provide a bridge to the future. In this second instalment, we explain how a flexible platform, coupled with superior services help simplify deployment and lower costs.

Paul Boucherle Sales Mountain Lesson 9

Lesson #9: Reaching IT is THE Summit

Last month, we explored some basic contingency planning as you approach the final 1000’ to the top of your convergence sales mountain. We framed this in terms of video management software context. I left out one vital element to your success… the wise (IT) Sherpa (guide) who can guide the final push to the top. You better bring the right chara (gift) to gain his attention and support, or risk falling off the mountain.
